Environmental Public Health Specialist
The Phelps/Maries County Health Department seeks candidates for a full-time EPHS I or EPHS II. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 30 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Bacteriology, Animal Science, Food Science, Soil Science, Sanitary Science, Environmental Health, or in a closely related physical or natural science. The EPHS I position is for candidates with little or no experience. The EPHS II candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience and must meet additional criteria. The EPHS is responsible for inspections and complaint investigations of food establishments, lodging facilities, and daycare facilities. Other duties include permitting and complaint investigation of septic systems and disaster response (truck wrecks, fires, floods, power outages). Clerical Office Support
The Phelps-Maries County Health Department has an opening for a full-time Clerical Office Support. Applicant must have excellent customer service skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and be able to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Applicant must be flexible and a team-player. Knowledge of the WIC program and immunization schedule is beneficial. Minimum of a high school diploma required. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
